Job Description - GCC Fundraiser - Crypto Hedge Fund
About the Organisation
Our client is a well‑capitalised, internationally active investment firm with a presence across accross the globe. The firm operates at the intersection of alternative investments, institutional capital markets, and emerging financial technologies, serving a sophisticated global client base.
With a leadership team drawn from top‑tier financial institutions, the organisation combines the agility of a high‑growth platform with the discipline and governance of an established asset manager. The culture is commercial, intellectually curious, and highly collaborative, offering senior professionals genuine autonomy and the ability to influence strategy from day one.
The firm is currently expanding its global distribution footprint - with the GCC representing one of its highest‑priority regions.
Role Overview
The firm is seeking an experienced Director-level Fundraiser to lead capital‑raising initiatives across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) territories. This individual will act as the key ambassador for the firm across the region, deepening relationships with sovereign entities, institutional allocators, family offices, and UHNW networks.
The role is ideal for someone who is already well‑embedded in the GCC capital ecosystem and who thrives in an environment where they can shape market strategy, influence product positioning, and drive meaningful fundraising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Build and execute a fundraising strategy tailored to the GCC's institutional and private‑capital landscape.
Leverage an existing regional network to originate new investor relationships and accelerate fundraising cycles.
Manage the full investor engagement process: outreach, meetings, education, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
Act as a trusted representative of the firm at conferences, roadshows, and private investor events across the GCC.
Provide ongoing market intelligence to internal teams, including feedback on allocator sentiment and competitive positioning.
Collaborate with investment, product, and senior management teams to align fundraising goals with firm‑wide priorities.
Maintain structured reporting on pipeline progress, investor activity, and relationship development.
Candidate Profile
10-15 years' experience in fundraising, institutional sales, or investor relations within asset management, alternatives, private markets, or related areas.
Deep, established network across the GCC, with proven success raising capital from sovereign entities, family offices, UHNWIs, and institutional channels.
Strong understanding of GCC investor culture, decision‑making processes, and relationship‑driven dynamics.
Ability to articulate complex investment strategies clearly and credibly to diverse audiences.
Highly proactive, commercially minded, and able to work independently with limited bureaucracy.
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and gravitas.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; advanced qualifications (CFA, MBA, etc.) welcomed but not essential.
