Black & Grey HR is actively recruiting for a leading provider of aluminium and steel construction solutions in the Middle East. Our client specializes in structural fabrication, engineering, and large-scale construction projects across the region. They are looking for a General Manager to lead overall business operations, drive strategic growth, and ensure operational excellence across projects, commercial activities, and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee the companyâs overall operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Lead and manage multiple departments including Operations, Projects, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Business Development.
- Drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and supporting tendering and commercial strategies.
- Ensure projects are executed efficiently within approved budgets, timelines, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor organizational performance through KPIs, financial reporting, operational metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost optimization to ensure financial sustainability and profitability.
- Support contract negotiations, risk management, and resolution of commercial or operational disputes in coordination with legal and commercial teams.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and management teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Participate in executive meetings and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive organizational transformation, innovation, and process optimization initiatives across the business.
- Ensure resource planning, workforce management, and succession planning are aligned with operational demands.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by executive management or board leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Masterâs degree is an advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in the construction, structural steel, or aluminium fabrication industry, including senior leadership or general management experience.
- Strong understanding of construction operations, project execution, commercial management, and business strategy.
- Familiarity with GCC market practices, local authority regulations, and international construction standards.
