Description

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA) is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused General Practitioner – Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic Emergency Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to delivering exceptional emergency medical care.


The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to manage a broad range of emergency presentations while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.



Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Deliver timely and evidence-based emergency medical care in accordance with hospital policies and international clinical guidelines.
  • Perform emergency procedures within the scope of practice and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
  • Request, interpret, and act upon laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants, specialists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Identify patients requiring admission, referral, or transfer and facilitate appropriate clinical management.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely electronic medical records.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
  • Support departmental objectives by contributing to continuous professional development and education.


Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized university.
  • Completion of a recognized internship program.
  • Valid UAE Medical License (MOHAP, DHA, or DOH) or eligibility for MOHAP licensure.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-internship experience in an Emergency Department within an acute care or tertiary healthcare setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory).
  • ATLS, PALS, or other emergency medicine certifications are an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
