GP/Transfusion Medicine

SearchPlus HR is on the lookout for a talented GP/Transfusion Medicine Specialist to become an integral part of our esteemed healthcare team. This role presents a unique opportunity to bridge general practice with specialized transfusion medicine expertise, providing comprehensive care that directly enhances patient outcomes.

In this position, you will serve as a primary care physician while also focusing on managing transfusion needs, thereby ensuring the safe and effective use of blood products. Your collaborative efforts with hospital staff and blood bank teams will be crucial in delivering personalized care and optimizing transfusion protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to a diverse patient population.
• Assess patients for transfusion needs and recommend appropriate blood products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement transfusion guidelines and best practices.
• Educate patients and healthcare professionals about the transfusion process and its associated risks.
• Monitor and respond to patient reactions during and after transfusions.
• Engage in research and quality improvement efforts within transfusion medicine.
• Interpret laboratory results related to blood transfusion and provide recommendations for patient management.

• Medical degree with a current and valid license to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Specialization or additional training in Transfusion Medicine is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in clinical practice, ideally in transfusion services or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in patient assessment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
