As a GP/Transfusion Medicine Specialist, you will provide comprehensive primary care while also managing blood transfusion processes. Your expertise will ensure patients receive safe, effective transfusions, and you will play a vital role in educating both patients and staff about transfusion-related practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care services to patients, focusing on their overall health and well-being.
• Evaluate patients for transfusion needs and recommend appropriate blood products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based transfusion protocols.
• Educate patients and healthcare providers on transfusion procedures, risks, and safety measures.
• Monitor and manage any adverse reactions or complications arising from transfusions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives related to transfusion medicine.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in transfusion medicine and general practice to provide the best patient care.

• Medical degree with a current license to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Specialized training or certification in Transfusion Medicine is preferred.
• Experience working in clinical settings, especially within transfusion services or blood banks.
• Strong analytical and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
