Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care services, assessing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.
• Evaluate patient transfusion needs, prescribing appropriate blood products based on clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement transfusion policies and procedures.
• Educate patients on transfusion processes, risks, and benefits, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after transfusions and manage any complications effectively.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing transfusion practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in transfusion medicine and general healthcare practices.

• Medical degree with a valid license to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Additional training or specialization in Transfusion Medicine is highly preferred.
• Experience in clinical and transfusion settings, particularly within government healthcare frameworks, is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to public health and patient safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
