About the job
As a Group Sales, you will be responsible for Organizing and preparing holiday tour packages for Groups, combining transport, accommodation, and services such as sightseeing arrangements to create holiday packages. Quoting clients on a timely basis and ensuring that queries are converted to Sales.
Job Location: Dubai; UAE
Responsibilities:
•Combining travel, accommodation, and services such as sightseeing arrangements to
create offers for Leisure Groups, Leisure Group Series, MICE, etc.
• Prepare the best suitable Itinerary (a planned route or journey) as per client requirements.
• Preparing Various Cost sheets as requested.
• Handling bookings, invoicing, and issuing of tickets.
• Confirming customer names with airlines/hotels.
• Visiting Hotels to ascertain accommodation quality and suitability.
• Being aware of MICE-based hotels in UAE and other destinations as required.
• Liaising with internal and external suppliers and departments apart from coach operators,
and hoteliers.
• Ensuring agreed service levels, contracts, and costs are adhered to.
• Confirming customer names with hotels.
• Collecting, evaluating, and responding (as appropriate) to customer feedback.
• Using market research information to create new products from time to time.
• Producing mailers and flyers from time to time.
• Marketing holidays to clients via travel agents, websites, social media, etc.
• Forecasting profits and/or number of bookings/pax.
• Working with travel consultants from different travel agencies to put holiday packages
together.
Skills & Qualifications required:
A demonstrable interest in travel and knowledge of key holiday destinations in UAE.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in the travel industry.
• Knowledge of suppliers and costs.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical and data–driven approaches to sales.
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
