Manage theproduction equipment ensuring its continuous operation throughordinary/extraordinary maintenanceandrepairs

Superviseand coordinatesthe MechanicForemen Offshoreand theMechanicsOffshore toensure thatthe workis carriedoutin compliancewith safetyand qualityrequirements

Assignwork tasksto ownteam toexecutemaintenanceactivities

Definemaintenance workpriorities andprepares amaintenancefrequencyschedule

Ensure that therequired quantity of spare parts and materials are kept in stock inthe vessel stores through theestablishmentof minimum andmaximum stocklevels, in orderto ensure workcontinuity andvessel self-sufficiency for anyplannedmaintenanceactivities andfor breakdownsthat canbe reasonablyexpected

Orderspare partsfor scheduledmaintenance induetime

Ensurethat the planning,execution, andmaterial control for allmaintenance activitiesis carried out with theappropriateCorporatesoftwareapplicationswhereveravailable

Beresponsible for the equipment preparation and set-up in advance andduring execution of project operations, inliaisonwiththe ChiefEngineer andthe OffshoreConstructionManager

Beresponsible forthe adequatepreservation ofvessel equipmentbefore longstand-by periods,as directedby theChiefEngineer

Ensurethat allproject equipmentused iscertified, insuitablecondition andproperlystored

Providemaintenance forproject equipmentwhenrequired

Atproject completion, be responsible for thecompletion of equipment card and for arranging correct packingandpreservationof mobileequipment tobe demobilisedfrom thevessel, inorder tokeep Companyproperty ingood conditionsforfurtheruse

Beresponsible forthe trainingof JuniorVessel EquipmentEngineers

Reportnear-misseventsandincidents

Ensurethat thePermit-to-Worksystem isunderstood andoperated

Withinhis/her remit,arrange fordelivery of shiftTool box Talks to themaintenance crew andthe preparation of JSA(JobSafetyAnalysis) ifrequired

Asapplicable,perform dutieswithin thevessel emergencyteam asindicated inthe Emergencypreparednessmanual
