Job Description - Head of BOMA Measurement

About The Role

Our ever-expanding Production team is looking for a Head of BOMA Measurement to join our team working on global projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with other members ensuring adherence to rigorous measurement standards, accurate documentation of measurements, and the preparation of BOMA reports. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surveying, a deep understanding of measurement standards, and the ability to effectively communicate and document measurement procedures and results.
Below are some of the tasks you will be expected to undertake:

Document and ensure clarity in the principles of measurement and calculation, specifying BOMA International's suite of floor measurement standards:
- Office (ANSI/BOMA Z65.1)
- Industrial (ANSI/BOMA Z65.2)
- Gross Areas (ANSI/BOMA Z65.3)
- Multi-Family and Hospitality (ANSI/BOMA Z65.4-2023)
- Retail (ANSI/BOMA Z65.5)
- Mixed-Use (ANSI/BOMA Z65.6)
Generate BOMA reports in accordance with established standards plus:
- The method of measurement and tools utilised
- The unit of measurement
- The date of measurement
- Verification of measurements on-site and the validation process

Knowledge, Skills & Training

Surveyor Certification
Expertise in BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) standards) is essential
CAD and Revit experience
Proficiency and competence with RICS Code of Measuring Practice
Comprehensive understanding of International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) for both commercial and residential buildings, including knowledge of inclusions and exclusions for GIA/NIA
Experience as a Draftsman or Property Surveyor
