Head of Post 16

LEAMS Education is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and inspirational Head of Post 16 to lead and further develop our Sixth Form provision at one of our reputed British curriculum schools in Dubai.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an ambitious educator with a strong academic background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for preparing students for university and future careers.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Post 16/Sixth Form provision.

  
  


• 
  

  Drive outstanding academic outcomes across AS & A Levels and other Post 16 pathways.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in line with the National Curriculum for England and examination board requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor student progress, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing, implementing timely interventions where required.

  
  


• 
  

  Lead curriculum planning, quality assurance, data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

  
  


• 
  

  Coach, mentor and develop teaching staff through regular observations, feedback and professional development.

  
  


• 
  

  Promote a positive Sixth Form culture focused on academic excellence, student leadership and personal development.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on school improvement priorities.

  
  


• 
  

  Strengthen university guidance, careers education and student destination planning.

  
  


• 
  

  Build strong relationships with students, parents and external stakeholders.

  
  

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• 
  

  A recognised Masters degree with a teaching qualification (PGCE/B.Ed. or equivalent).

  
  


• 
  

  A Master's degree in Education or Leadership (preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Significant leadership experience within a British Curriculum school.

  
  


• 
  

  Senior AS/A level Teaching experience leading or managing a successful Post 16 batch 

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England, A Level pathways and assessment requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated ability to raise student achievement through effective curriculum leadership.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

  
  


• 
  

  A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire teams and build a culture of excellence.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience within the UAE or GCC education sector is desirable.
