Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a Head of Quality - ANS, who will be responsible for the establishment, development and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with UAE General Civil Aviation Regulations and Serco Group Policies. 

The Head of Quality is appointed as per GCAA requirements and is the nominated Quality Postholder for Serco Middle East ANSP. The Head of Quality shall be managed and overseen by the Head of Operations - Transport. The Head of Quality shall be the focal point of contact with the GCAA on matters of regulation and Serco ANS Certification. The Head of Quality will have direct access to the Accountable Manager on quality related matters.

The ideal candidate should Possess excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to all work requirements and a team centered ethos.

This role will be based in our corporate office in Dubai.

Key Accountabilities

• Be responsible for overall performance of the Compliance Monitoring and Quality Assurance System, including implementation, maintenance, documentation, performance, effectiveness of QMS and oversight of the organisation


• Be a principal communicator with the Authority in relation to audits and Quality Management System and compliance issues


• The Head of Quality is considered as the primary point of contact for all ANS oversight activities for the ANS and ATS Units


• Document control and submission to the GCAA


• To ensure the effectiveness of the compliance monitoring function, in particular the effective implementation and follow-up of all corrective actions


• To build and maintain a non-punitive reporting culture amongst management and staff


• To act as the Quality contact for all operational ANS staff and advise all ANS staff on the QMS and their roles and responsibilities and interaction with the QMS


• Manage the representation of ANS Quality Function and any external quality initiatives, development and implementation of the Quality Programme.

Specific Requirements

• Minimum 5years regional experience (Operational and/or managerial)


• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE GCAA CAR’s, ICAO and Serco Middle East Quality recommended practices pertaining to quality management and health and safety in the workplace. 


• Expert knowledge on Aviation Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 principles


• Knowledge on UAE General Civil Aviation Regulations (preferred)


• Knowledge in Auditing principles.
