ROLE PURPOSE:
The Head of Quality Assurance leads the Integrated Management System and Quality Assurance for ADA's airports. This role establishes international performance standards, compliance procedures, and strategic plans. It provides technical guidance for business development, ensuring financial viability, compliance, and technical excellence. Additionally, it drives KPI improvement through technology while managing budgets.

Primary Relations: SVP Operations Assurance, GM (ADIA/AAIA/GAA), GM ES&C, Airside Safety, AVSEC, All departments within operations divisions across Abu Dhabi Airports, HR (GCAS).
Secondary Relations: Other non-operational Departments across Abu Dhabi Airports including leased properties (tenants), Strategy and Communications, Capital Projects and Constructions (namely Infrastructure related projects)
GCAA, UAE Civil Defense, AD Police, IATA, ACI, ICAO, OSHAD, FANR, DoT, EAD and other third party certification & accreditation bodies UAE Authorities & Municipalities

KEY ACCCOUNTABILITIES
Operational
Translates and communicates the vision, philosophy, strategic and business plans of the Airport to the relevant areas and ensure alignment of goals and objectives of all departments, ensuring Quality Assurance compliance across all creative output.
Lead and direct a team of Quality Assurance, professionals and drive a strategic plan for evolving the team mandate to meet evolving business needs.
With the ascertained & QA mandate: identify and ensure the monitoring of key performance and customer service quality standards across departments related to customer service programs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Design and ensure that quality assurance procedures are communicated and followed throughout ADAirports.
Develop and oversee the management of a delivery process that is risk-based to ensure appropriate investment decisions are made for all & QA initiatives.
Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (b) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
Network with international institutions and international airports to exchange information regarding operational standards and to enhance the reputation and technical expertise of ADAirports
Communication
In the context of Communication, the Head of Quality Assurance;
Works collaboratively ADAirports Senior Management for information on standards, procedures and processes and to secure their support for projects.
Communicate with local authorities at a senior management level to establish correct procedures for approvals and to ensure that operational requirements are in place.
Communicates with other airports at a senior management level to share knowledge and experiences.
When setting KPIs, may communicate directly with the Chairman or Chief Executive Officer for critical decisions.
Works closely with the QA team directing and leading projects and monitoring outputs and performance
Determines on program schedules and applicable amendments and the associated impacts of such change requests.
Determines on targets and objectives for the department to contribute the organisational strategy.
Determines on budget requests (annually) related primarily to CAPEX and business related activities (business travel, subscriptions, memberships, accreditations)
Determines on all necessary department activities to best support the organisation
People Management
Responsibility for identifying training and development needs of the & Quality Assurance Department employees.
Maintain and ensure adequate and competent human resourses to support the Quality Assurance Department in meeting all responsibilities, plans, objective and execution of business strategies.
QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION
Bachelor degree in Airport Ops, Law, Business Administration or similar (preferably Master’s Degree) and/or
Significant industry experience with demonstrable senior positions and related courses, certificates, accreditation suitable and acceptable to the business and role.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum +10 years Management experience in senior positions in aviation industry (Airline/Airport/IATA/ICAO)
Safety &/or Quality Assurance at a senior level within aviation
Integrated solutions knowledge.
Reporting at an executive level
CERTIFICATIONS,KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Professional Certifications Required
Professional QMS/Auditing certification (preferred)
Airport/airline related professional certification
