Description
As a Warehouse Helper, you will play a crucial role in our Logistics department, supporting the smooth flow of materials and products. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with loading and unloading activities, ensuring accurate and timely movement of goods. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain an organized and efficient workspace, contributing to the overall success of our building materials business.

Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading of building materials and products.
Ensure accurate and timely movement of goods, following established procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage and retrieval processes.
Assist in inventory management, including stock counting and record-keeping.
Handle and operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for quality and quantity.
Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is an advantage.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, with good stamina.
Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new warehouse procedures and technologies.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent support to the team.
