Job Description - HR MANAGER

A very Generalist HR Manager function at the core of the business , this new position would suit a self-motivated candidate with a strong understanding of regional labour laws and HR best practices.

Therefore, you should possess a relevant HR qualification (CIPD preferred) and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role from the sports / consulting / service sector.

You will have the passion to drive the HR strategy forwards and an engaging personality to influence and oversee employees across all levels of seniority.

This is a great new role where you can really develop the HR function to support the future of this well-established sports consulting firm.

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to truly lead the direction of the HR Manager role, as it is the first time the function has been brought in-house at Qantara Sports.

Working to support a tight knit and highly motivated young team, you will be considered as the HR expert for the organisation.
Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are in place and fit for purpose, development of KPIs, review of job descriptions, compensation and benefits and all HR administration will fall under the responsibly of this sole HR Manager role. It requires a person with exceptional communication and people centric skills , employee engagement capabilities and a strong understanding of the benefits a HR function can add to the business.

You will present and update new strategies to the senior team and the overall aim is to implement, execute, and manage internal development programmes for all employees in order for the company to be a great place to work for many years to come.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead the entire HR function within Qantara Sports, overseeing all HR operations and strategies.
  • International HR Management: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with the company’s international objectives and local regulations in the UAE, KSA, and Portugal.
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for various positions across different offices.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by handling grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions effectively and in compliance with company policies.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance evaluation systems and provide guidance to managers on performance improvement strategies.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, design training programs, and coordinate employee development initiatives to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation structures, benefits administration, and ensure competitive and fair compensation packages.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate HR records, generate reports, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions.
  • HR Support: Provide guidance and support to HR teams in different offices to ensure consistency and alignment with company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management , preferably in an international environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles , practices, and regulations in the UAE, KSA, and Portugal.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in talent acquisition , performance management, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Ability to work independently , prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office.

Additional Information

Qualification

  • 3-5 year experience in HR management roles, preferably in an international setting.
  • Strong leadership abilities to lead the HR function and support HR teams across different offices.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations in the UAE, KSA, and Portuga is a plus.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office.

Educational Background

BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field.
