HSE Officer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced HSE Professional to join our Modular Construction business in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across projects and ensuring that all HSE requirements are effectively implemented on site.

Please note: This position requires working night shifts, and candidates must be available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards across project sites.
  
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  
• Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
  
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, project requirements, and applicable international standards.
  
• Monitor safe work practices and ensure compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments.
  
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness sessions for site personnel.
  
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, inspection findings, and documentation.
  
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, and site teams on HSE matters.
  
• Monitor environmental requirements and support implementation of relevant environmental management practices.
  
• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely closure of identified HSE observations.
  
• Support emergency preparedness, response procedures, and regular emergency drills.
  
• Ensure HSE requirements are effectively maintained during night-shift operations.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in HSE, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a relevant discipline.
  
• Minimum 8–10 years of overall HSE experience.
  
• At least 5 years of relevant UAE experience on projects of similar size, nature, and complexity.
  
• Relevant experience in modular construction, construction, manufacturing, or similar project environments is preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and international HSE standards.
  
• Experience managing HSE requirements independently on complex projects.

• NEBOSH IGC
  
• NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 or equivalent
  
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
  
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
  
• OSHAD Awareness
