Job Description - HSE Officer Fitout

Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across interior fit-out project sites.

Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and non-compliance issues.

Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and project safety plans.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers and subcontractors.

Monitor site activities including civil works, carpentry, joinery, MEP installations, and finishing works.

Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, and safety records.

Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and ensure proper implementation of control measures.

Ensure availability and correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Monitor permit-to-work systems, hot works, work at height, lifting activities, and other high-risk operations.

Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants regarding safety requirements.

Conduct regular safety audits and prepare HSE performance reports.

Ensure emergency procedures, fire safety requirements, and first aid arrangements are maintained.

Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure safe site conditions.

Support project teams during client and authority HSE inspections.

Maintain records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

Minimum 3–6 years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction or interior fit-out projects.

Strong knowledge of construction and interior fit-out safety practices.

Understanding of risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.

Experience conducting toolbox talks and safety training.

Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Good knowledge of PPE requirements and safe work practices.
