Job Description - Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic people partner, advising one or more business groups and plays a key role in implementing the HR strategy and practices in support of the short- and long-term objectives of the business, with the overall goal of attracting, retaining and developing the best talent.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic and trusted HR Business Partner to an assigned Function(s) / Business Unit (s) by providing HR advice and support by building credibility and developing trusted relationships with business leaders.
  • Deliver the annual calendar of activity to assigned Group(s) around manpower planning/recruitment, appraisals/calibration reviews, learning & development/training needs analysis, promotion and increments, bonus and talent management activity.
  • Serve as a change champion to communicate updates/ changes in organisational changes, strategic objectives and implementations as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness by diagnosing challenges, recommending solutions and supporting the business with the implementation.
  • Influence the business in adopting best HR practices and support them in the effective management of people to maximise their individual and collective contribution.
  • Identify HR metrics and KPI’s for the business, procuring provisions and subsequently undertaking analysis to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Provides support / manage HR projects as required as well as leads people's work streams of business projects.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning for assigned business areas to ensure that organizational structures are fit for purpose and annual budgets are met.
  • Drive change by supporting business in organization design reviews ensuring that structures are efficient.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and SLA's across the business.
  • Act as a champion of the Shamal Values and provide advice to the businesses Group/s to ensure compliance when dealing with people-related matters, aligned with the Shamal culture.
  • Manages ER cases for designated Group(s) - support Line Managers, in investigating and resolving ER issues across designated business areas (performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance) and hand off to committees for any formal action required with recommendations for action.
  • Work with line managers to drive a high-performance culture and embed the Shamal Values.
  • Consult business areas on actions necessary for improvement in their engagement scores by providing ideas for solutions or by facilitating focus sessions with the employees.
  • Support the business in delivering their annual Emiratization targets to ensure alignment to agreed targets and relevant increases in the number of UAE Nationals annually.
  • Develop strategic plans for recruitment and retention of diverse demographics and skills, including the recruitment of the right talent in accordance with the approved manpower plan and business requirements.
  • Prepare the annual manpower plan and budgets, and monitor its utilization and effectiveness.
  • Support the digital maturity and transformation of the Human Resources function.
  • Participate actively in various HR Projects and Employee Engagement Projects (Employee Bonus, HR Policy, Employee Dispute Resolution, HR Handbook, Individual Development Plan, Job Analysis, Career Path mapping, Organization Restructuring, HR Awareness Sessions, and various Employee Welfare Programs).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Strong organisation, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Change management and the ability to implement new processes and systems.
