Aether is looking for an HR Manager to support our growing operations.

Who are we?

We’re a full-spectrum media agency that empowers clients by delivering tailored digital solutions. With a global footprint, we help clients handle e-payments, serve ads, market themselves, develop online channels, and connect market opportunities with business results. We’re a young company in terms of employee age, but we have more than 15 years of experience in the field, and after a period of steady growth our employee count is now above 150. Our main office is in Dubai and we also have offices in Manila, Denmark, and Amsterdam.

Our newly renovated, Business Bay office is fast-paced and energetic. We change quickly. We’re innovative and have a lot of fun, we do not have corporate vibes. We offer free lunch from Kcal, and a gym membership to UFC gym along with plenty of team building events.

About you

As an HR Manager, you’ll be involved in developing and implementing our HR strategy across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll participate and lead projects and best-in-class initiatives. You’ll partner with candidates, recruiters, employees, and Team Leaders to increase effectiveness and provide advice on a variety of HR topics, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, engagement, growth, and driving the people strategy. We need you to be proactive, and comfortable working independently, as well as in a team.

Your responsibilities

Every day will be different, but here are some of the tasks that you’ll be doing:

• Own the recruitment process from start to finish, including sourcing candidates, screening calls, interviews, reference checks, arranging testing, contract negotiation and recruitment agency management – LinkedIn Recruiter is provided
• Advise employees on a variety of HR matters.
• Manage the performance process with our awesome tool, Lattice
• Coach employees so they feel supported and are as productive and engaged as possible.
• Design and implement HR processes and initiatives. We’re always looking to make things better.
• Support new employees during preboarding and onboarding so they get the best start possible.
• Design and host workshops to boost learning, and communication and drive change in the business.
• Work with our PRO / Office Manager and HR Specialist with HR administration and payroll when required or when they are on leave.

We think you’ll be most successful in this role if you have:

• 5+ years’ experience in HR – you should have a solid understanding of the entire employee lifecycle.
• A thirst for excellence – you love learning what’s working at great companies, and what’s not. You research, read and listen constantly to find the best solutions for our challenges and opportunities.
• The ability to confidently, and effectively communicate to different audiences and in different situations. We believe great HR work requires excellent communication skills.
• You are comfortable writing an engaging company-wide email or hosting a workshop.
• You have advanced interpersonal, coaching and listening skills so you can handle tough conversations.
• A strong understanding of the UAE Labour Law.
• Project management skills to lead projects from start to finish.
• Influencing skills to obtain buy-in and drive change across the business.
• Problem solving skills and ability to spot opportunities.
• You must be tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly. Experience with tools such as Confluence, Slack, LinkedIn Learning, SAP (or similar) is a plus, as we use these regularly.
