Job Description - Instrumentation Technician

Installation: Following blueprints and technical manuals, instrumentation technicians physically install instruments in industrial settings. This may involve mounting equipment, running cables, and making electrical connections.

Calibration and Maintenance: To ensure the accuracy of the instruments, technicians perform routine maintenance and calibration tasks. This could involve using specialized tools to verify readings and make adjustments as needed.

Troubleshooting: When instruments malfunction, instrumentation technicians diagnose the problem, identify the faulty component, and take steps to repair or replace it. Problem -solving skills are a must for this role.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Instrumentation technicians may be responsible for analyzing data collected by the instruments and preparing reports for engineers or other stakeholders.

Requirements

Academic Qualification

- Minimum 10th standard with highly relevant experience, OR

- Diploma in Instrumentation, controls or electronics

- Minimum 5 years of experience

- Installation & maintenance experience in the relevant industry

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical manuals

Excellent problem -solving skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
