Position: Ground Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Ground Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of ground engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and geologists on a range of projects, contributing to site investigations, data analysis, and design activities.

Your New Role: What's Involved

1. Assist in conducting site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, geological mapping, and geotechnical testing.
2. Compile and analyze data obtained from field investigations and laboratory tests to assess soil and rock properties.
3. Support the design team in the development of geotechnical designs for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other ground engineering applications.
4. Collaborate with engineers and geologists to evaluate geotechnical risks and propose mitigation measures.
5. Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
6. Assist with the implementation of quality control procedures and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
7. Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional development and knowledge sharing.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong academic background with coursework in soil mechanics, geology, geotechnical engineering, and related subjects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software applications such as slope stability analysis, finite element analysis, and CAD software is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn new concepts and techniques.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in geotechnical engineering or related fields is an asset.
