Job purpose:
To manage material planning, procurement, pricing, and inventory control to ensure optimum stock availability, cost efficiency, and smooth coordination of spare parts logistics and systems across branches.
Key Job Responsibilities
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing orders to suppliers as per scheduled requirements.
• Support the development and execution of strategies to maintain parts availability above 96% first-pick rate.
• Review critical parts requests daily and arrange sourcing through GCC/VOR channels to minimize downtime.
• Follow up with principals on long-pending back orders (B/O), VOR requirements, and related issues.
• Conduct EPC reviews and evaluate new model and seasonal parts requirements.
• Maintain and update parts master data and monitor substitute databases.
• Ensure accurate supersession linking in the parts master database.
• Coordinate inter-branch transfers, auto transfers, and emergency supplies.
• Recall non-moving parts (over 6 months) from branches and coordinate smooth warehouse receipt.
• Support timely branch replenishment within the first week of each month.
• Manage local purchases such as tyres and batteries while adhering to stock holding policies.
• Prepare special pricing proposals for liquidation of dead and slow-moving stock.
• Develop parts packages for new and existing vehicles (service/maintenance packages).
• Analyze lost sales data and incorporate findings into ordering plans.
• Review monthly inventory performance reports and recommend optimization actions.
• Prepare international RS documentation and monitor forwarder payments.
• Negotiate with freight forwarders and suppliers to reduce landed costs.
• Support annual stock counts and maintain minimal inventory variance.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
• Graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification in supply chain or inventory management is an advantage.
• 5–7 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management.
• Preferably from the automotive spare parts industry.
• Experience in computerized inventory and ERP systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, procurement, and logistics operations.
• Analytical and numerical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Cost control and negotiation skills.
• Database and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with WMS/ERP platform
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
