IT Security Officer

Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced IT Security Officer to their UAE research and development team. Our employer seeks a proven performer to assist on their main projects in the region, which include the implementation of advanced integrated security solutions for critical assets, safe city and border protection. The IT Security Officer's role is to lead the vision and concepts for developing and supporting IT security initiatives.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization
•Documents security policies and procedures created by the Information Security Committee
•Initiates and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organization, it’s projects and customers
•Perform information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for IT security
•Implements information security policies and procedures for the organization
•Reviews all system-related security plans throughout the organization's network, acting as a liaison to Information Systems
•Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager
•Advises the organization with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues
•Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
•Provides direct training and oversight to all employees, alliances, or other third parties, ensuring proper information security clearance in accordance with established organizational information security policies and procedures
•Prepares the disaster recovery plan The attributes we seek include: •Bachelor degree
•Good experience in maintaining and developing SIEM/SOC (Preferable ArcSight or McAfee)
•Firewalling /IPS knowledge – preferable Palo Alto and Fortinet products (policies and tunneling)
•Deep knowledge of networking protocols
•Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
•Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL database include scripting / store procedures / basic DBA
•Deep knowledge of PKI (infrastructure and implementations such as SSL, Smartcards etc.)
•Hands on experience in maintaining and developing Network Access Control
