Job Description - Junior Accountant

DUBIMED Medical Supplies Trading is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance Department (male candidate). The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Accounts Payable & Receivable team, supporting daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation looking to grow within an established trading and distribution company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and follow up on outstanding payments.
General Ledger & Journal Entries: Maintain and update daily journal entries, general ledger accounts, and expense tracking. Reconciliation of corporate card spend & posting of expenses in the accounting system.
Intercompany accounting: Posting of intercompany entries & monthly reconciliation.
Bank & Account Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate/resolve any transaction discrepancies.
Compliance & Auditing: Support VAT/tax filings and assist during internal or external audit preparations.
Reporting: Help generate weekly & monthly financial reports.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on accounting experience (experience in a trading, wholesale, or distribution company is a strong plus).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally & zoho books).

Competencies:

Strong numerical accuracy and analytical mindset.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
