Junior Consultant Pediatric Surgeon

As a Junior Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, you will assist in diagnosing surgical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality pediatric care. You will also engage with patients and their families to provide education and support throughout the treatment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation and assessment of pediatric patients requiring surgical intervention.
• Participate in surgical procedures under the supervision of senior surgeons.
• Contribute to the development of treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Provide postoperative care and monitor patients during their recovery.
• Engage with families to explain surgical procedures and postoperative care instructions.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and educational activities to enhance professional development.
• Stay updated with advancements in pediatric surgery through continuous learning and participation in relevant training.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of a residency in general surgery.
• Interest in pursuing a fellowship in pediatric surgery (or currently enrolled in a fellowship program).
• Active medical license in the respective state.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Desire for professional growth and active participation in continuing medical education.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
