Job Description:

Junior Design Engineer - Wet Utilities

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join our team! In this role you will be doing various engineering design assignment related to water/wastewater project.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the civil engineering field.

• Prepare or assist in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.

• Provide input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project. The engineer will be required to carry out CAD related tasks while using special 3D software and model creation.

• Will perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Be able to independently carry out designs of collection, conveyance, and disposal of wastewater networks.

• Shall have advance experience and knowledge of preparing and developing hydraulic models for gravity network, design reports and Bentley SewerCAD / SewerGems, and Infoworks CS.

• Shall be conversant with the British and American codes as well as DEWA / DM regulations for the design of wastewater systems.

• Having experience of liaising with service providers agencies for obtaining NOCs and Design Approvals, etc. is an added advantage.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Hydraulics / Water/ Environmental Engineering (or related field).

• A minimum 3 years of related work experience in Wet Utilities like potable water, waste water, sewerage networks projects, preferably within GCC countries.

• Skilled in the application of BIM.

• Capability to work in a CDE is required.

• Requires engineering knowledge in the design of sewerage/ potable water networks/Irrigation networks.

• Familiarity with software's like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Bentley WaterCAD / WaterGems / OpenUtilities or related software and other PC software packages typically associated with wet services engineering is also required.

• Have strong English language speaking and writing skill.
