Junior Process Engineer

Job Purpose:
The Junior Process Engineer will support process engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects covering design, engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases. The role will assist senior process engineers in developing and reviewing process designs while ensuring compliance with project specifications, HSE requirements, applicable engineering standards, and client/ADNOC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support preparation and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, process datasheets, process philosophies, and engineering calculations.
• Assist in process simulations, heat and material balances, hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and equipment sizing.
• Support preparation and review of process design basis, operating philosophies, control philosophies, and process specifications.
• Assist in developing process requirements for vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, separators, and other process equipment.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, design reviews, and other process safety studies under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, HSE, and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist in reviewing vendor documents, technical queries, engineering deliverables, and contractor submissions.
• Support resolution of process-related technical queries during engineering and construction.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, walkdowns, and technical coordination meetings as required.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including system checks, start-up preparations, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain process engineering calculations, technical records, document registers, and action trackers.
• Ensure process engineering activities comply with applicable ADNOC/client specifications, international codes and standards, project procedures, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
• Participate in technical training and competency-development programs as part of the UAE National development program.

Qualification & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of three (3+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum two (2) years in GCC region.d Document .
