Junior Specialist Emergency Medicine

As a Junior Specialist, you will work under the supervision of experienced emergency medicine specialists and play an integral role in providing immediate medical care to patients requiring urgent attention.

In this role, you will assist in the assessment and management of various medical emergencies and develop your skills in emergency procedures. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and gain hands-on experience in the emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the initial assessment and triage of patients presenting to the emergency department
• Conduct basic examinations and gather patient histories
• Support the administration of treatments, medications, and therapeutic procedures
• Participate in resuscitation efforts and stabilization of critically ill patients
• Collaborate with senior staff in developing care plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care processes
• Document patient interactions and care provided accurately in medical records
• Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities within the emergency medicine field

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• A valid medical license to practice
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in emergency medicine
• Basic clinical skills and understanding of medical principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
• Commitment to learning and professional development
• Basic certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or a willingness to obtain it
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
