Landscape Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Landscape Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including a proven track record in managing municipal landscape projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both softscape and hardscape design principles, irrigation engineering, and landscape maintenance protocols. You will be responsible for the technical execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Design Engineering:

• Lead the design, development, and execution of landscape packages for municipal and large-scale commercial projects.
• Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for softscape (planting, soil, turf) and hardscape (paving, walls, drainage, structures) elements.
• Conduct site analysis, including grading, drainage planning, and earthwork calculations.

• Ensure all designs comply with local municipal codes, regulations, and accessibility standards (e.g., ADA).
  
  Construction Oversight & Maintenance Planning:

• Provide on-site engineering support during construction, overseeing contractors to ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.
• Develop comprehensive short and long-term landscape maintenance plans to ensure plant health and hardscape integrity.
• Diagnose and prescribe solutions for horticultural problems, pest management, and hardscape failures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering (with a landscape focus), Horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in landscape engineering or a directly related role.
• Demonstrable experience working on at least one major municipal project (e.g., public parks, streetscapes, civic plazas, government facilities).
• Expert proficiency in both softscape and hardscape disciplines.
• Hands-on experience in irrigation system design and maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land F/X, GIS, and MS Office Suite.
