Lead Business Analyst - Lending Products

We are looking for Lead Business Analyst – Lending Products is responsible for driving business analysis for client lending transformation initiatives by gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements for lending products. The role requires deep expertise in corporate lending products (term loans, working capital, and basic trade finance), ensuring business requirements accurately reflect product functionality and business needs. The incumbent collaborates with business, IT, and project teams to support solution design, validate functional specifications and test cases, maintain high-quality business analysis standards, and lead the successful delivery of lending initiatives, including the End-to-End Credit Decisioning program.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead requirement gathering, analysis, and preparation of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for lending initiatives.
2. Conduct stakeholder workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs, and document analysis to capture business needs.
3. Prepare high-quality BRDs covering business objectives, process flows, business rules, data requirements, and non-functional requirements.
4. Develop clear, testable, and traceable business requirements with defined acceptance criteria.
5. Define business scenarios, exceptions, validations, and error-handling requirements.
6. Create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support project delivery.
7. Validate requirements with business stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and obtain formal approvals.
8. Manage BRD version control, change requests, and requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Perform gap analysis of existing processes and recommend business process improvements.
10. Ensure complete alignment between business objectives, solution design, and testing activities.

• 8+ years in banking or banking technology, of which at least 6 years authoring Business Requirements Documents for complex processes in a business analysis role.
• Demonstrable product expertise in term loans and working capital across the MSME, Mid Corporate and Large Corporate segments – the candidate must have worked with these products in depth, not only used or sold them.
• Working knowledge of trade finance products and their interaction with limits, approval and trade operations.
• Experience as a lead or senior business analyst, including setting documentation standards and peer-reviewing the requirements produced by others.
• Experience on at least two lending, loan origination or credit decisioning initiatives taken from requirements through to Go-Live.
• Experience providing requirements and product inputs to functional specifications authored by IT or implementation partner teams, and answering the queries raised against them.
• Experience providing input to test planning and reviewing test cases against approved requirements.
• Some exposure to Temenos T24 or a comparable core banking system as a user or functional stakeholder. Configuration or integration experience is not required.
• UAE or wider GCC banking experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile, hybrid and vendor-led delivery models.
• Arabic language ability is advantageous.
