Role Summary

Job Purpose

Main responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching to students at postgraduate level
  


• Identify best and innovative practices in learning and teaching and build them into personal teaching practice
  


• Ensure that personal research, knowledge and/or experience of the field inform personal teaching practice
  


• Contribute actively to initiatives which identify new and best practice in teaching and learning and promote it across the faculty and institution
  


• Enhance student experience and outcomes
  


• Provide academic advice and counselling
  


• Liaise closely with teaching, technical and administrative staff as appropriate to ensure a quality teaching and learning environment.
  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Ability to teach one or more of the following subjects:
  


• Global Governance for Sustainable Development
  


• Migration: Debates and Governance
  


• Cities and Sustainable Development
  


• Sustainable Development and Human Rights
  


• Excellent academic qualifications in the fields of governance, sustainability, politics, international relations or any other field demonstrating exposure to and knowledge of the aforementioned subjects.
  


• Evidence of competence in the fields through teaching and/or practice
  


• High level of written, oral and interpersonal skills
  

• Ability to teach more than one of the above subject
  


• Publication record supporting competence in any of the above mentioned fields.
