Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will assist in routine maintenance tasks and respond to repair requests, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and machinery.

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks.

• Support preventive maintenance activities under the supervision of the Maintenance Technician or Supervisor.

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and resolve issues efficiently.

• Help maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

• Ensure cleanliness and safety in all maintenance work areas.

• Assist with setup and dismantling of furniture, equipment, and fixtures for events or facility changes.

• Comply with company safety standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy items and perform manual labor.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade or vocational training in building maintenance or related field.

• Certification in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
