The opportunity
The Manager - Operational Delivery will assist in driving operational excellence across Core42's Oracle-based offering including supplier management, capacity management and forecasting, Major Incident reporting ensuring alignment to strategy of Platform Operations department and acting as a point of contact to information related to these operations.
This role, reporting to the Senior Director of Platform Operations, will support the development and implementation of standardized operational performance metrics for the Oracle DRCC platform. It will ensure that performance targets are established and meticulously monitored, aid in tracking adherence to the annual service operating plan, and guarantee that teams are adequately equipped to fulfill the demand statements and SLAs of Core42 products. Additionally, it will support the upkeep of supplier performance and risk management standards, ensuring that pertinent policies are effectively executed and sustained.

Responsibilities
People Management
- Manage team of Engineers and Specialists responsible for Oracle DRCC platform operations and governance.
- Propose and communicate team's and individual KPIs and ensure they are in line with department, division and Core42 strategic goals.
- Oversee the performance of direct reports, provide direction and guidance to the employees on achieving the team's objectives.
- Engage with the department head to identify opportunities to improve the team's performance.
Functional
- Carry out technology operations governance activities, ensuring data practices comply with internal regulations and external standards.
- Provide support for the implementation of Core42 governance policies, procedures, standards, methods, tools, and processes and ensure enforcement with involved parties.
- Provide support or co-ordination of initiatives which serve to implement, improve, and maintain good technology operations practices.
- Ensure good practices in the management of Core42 products to ensure service providers are delivering against set SLAs.
- Support the management, monitoring, and mitigation of operational risk in the field of technology operations.
- Provide support to key stakeholders within the Products and Partnerships division in terms of capacity management and forecasting, and head count management.
- Ensure that the operating methods and aims of the Platform Operations department are aligned to manage all operational activities within the area.
Organisational
Management Reporting
- Contribute to the development of periodic reports, as requested by the department head.
- Propose and recommend remedial activities to manage any quality or non-compliance issues that arise during the review of periodic reports.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role you must have
- A successful record of leading and cultivating a motivated and positive team culture, along with a commitment to continuous improvement within Technology Operations (highly desirable).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent field.
- Extensive proven experience in a technical support, engineering, or operations of
- Experience in managing and implementation of operations governance guidelines, procedures, standards, methods, tools, and processes.
- Proven experience managing and participating in large-scale technical projects.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure, manage resources efficiently, and adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends are key attributes.
- Proven years of experience in managing technical operations teams
- In-depth domain knowledge of Oracle OCI cloud and broad scope of IT infrastructure technologies.
