Job Description - Marketing Manager-Destinations

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a head of destination performance to manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large complex marketing projects with multiple work streams.

The Head of Destination performance should have solid experience in managing different types of projects, communicating with stakeholders and providing progress updates to top-management.

Job Scope

  • Manage the analysis of raw data from destination performance in order to develop conclusions for decision making
  • Support in developing an overall destination strategy based on insights created from audience research and data from the tourism authority and the stakeholders
  • Support in creating integrated marketing strategy across all audience touchpoints to achieve destination performance
  • Able to draft marketing, communications or content briefs
  • Prepare media content pack with bilingual EN/AR translation
  • Understands the process involved in taking conceptual ideas through to final assets ready for live campaigns or activations
  • Supports the media strategy aligned with the Head of Brand marketing team member across all communication touchpoints with a focus on paid media content and campaign execution KPI's
  • Creates visual dashboards that collates data to show performance of destination activities
  • Assesses destination activities using specific metrics to determine levels of success
  • Manages the ongoing improvement of destination performance using ongoing campaign data and results
  • Competent use of technology-based solutions and platforms within marketing and communications activities
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning
  • Manage the preparation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all department activities are conducted in line with the approved guideline and governance approach
  • Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
  • Participating in tender process i.e. SOW, submission and review
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiency.
  • Report and escalate to management when required
  • Manage & coordinate the relationship with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify risks and develop improvement plan
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with the stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Communicate with supporting team functions and all stakeholders to make sure they are aligned on the requirements and destination progress
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues and roadblocks
  • Preparing monthly status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
  • Understand and manage key project financial components to ensure projects are delivered within budget and timeline
  • Responsible for quality and timely execution of deliverables across projects

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (e.g., tourism, hospitality, marketing
  • 8 years of experience
  • Proven experience in project management (Digital Marketing, Marketing projects experience is preferred).
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Bilingual (English, Arabic) is mandatory.­­­­
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and reporting skills.

  • Budget management experience.

Desirable:

  • PMP, DMI, CMI Certified
