MECHANICAL ENGINEER 

Job Summary

KN International is seeking a
Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join the project supervision team for an HVAC
project in Yas Island. The role involves reviewing designs, supervising
installation works, and ensuring that all HVAC systems are executed in
compliance with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and
contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
HVAC systems within a consultancy environment and the ability to coordinate
effectively with contractors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review
  HVAC design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method
  statements to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  
• Supervise
  HVAC installation works on -site, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence
  to approved drawings and IFC documents.
  
• Monitor
  contractor performance and progress, ensuring timely execution of HVAC
  works.
  
• Witness
  testing and commissioning (T&C) activities and ensure systems perform
  as per design requirements.
  
• Coordinate
  with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, electrical) to
  resolve design and site issues.
  
• Review
  and verify contractor submissions, including inspections, RFIs, and
  as -built drawings.
  
• Identify
  non -conformances and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
  
• Assist
  in the evaluation of variations, claims, and progress payments related to
  HVAC works.
  
• Ensure
  compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and
  project HSE requirements.
  
• Prepare
  inspection reports, progress updates, and technical documentation for the
  client.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s
  degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably within a consultancy
  or supervision role.
  
• Strong
  knowledge of HVAC design, installation, and testing & commissioning.
  
• Familiarity
  with international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA) and UAE authority
  requirements.
  
• Experience
  in design review, site supervision, and contractor coordination.
  
• Proficient
  in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering -related software.
  
• Strong
  analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  
• Attention
  to detail and ability to ensure compliance with specifications and quality
  standards.
  
• Willingness
  to work on -site in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
