Job Description - Molecular & Translational Pathology Specialist Saudi Arabia

Allocation Assist Middle East is a healthcare consultant agency dedicated to placing highly qualified medical professionals in leading hospitals across Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced Molecular & Translational Pathology Specialist with western training or education to join a prestigious medical institution in Riyadh.  

 

Position Overview  
This role focuses on bridging molecular diagnostics with clinical pathology, ensuring precision medicine advancements in disease detection and treatment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in molecular pathology, biomarker research, and the application of genomic technologies for personalized patient care. 

 

Key Responsibilities  
- Perform molecular diagnostic testing, including genomic sequencing, immunohistochemistry, and biomarker analysis  
- Develop and implement translational research strategies that enhance disease understanding and therapeutic interventions  
- Collaborate with clinical teams to apply molecular pathology findings for personalized medicine approaches  
- Ensure compliance with laboratory standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols  
- Participate in academic and research activities, contributing to advancements in molecular diagnostics  
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff in molecular pathology techniques and applications  

 

Qualifications  
- Medical degree from an accredited western institution, specializing in molecular pathology or translational medicine  
- Board certification or postgraduate qualification in molecular pathology, clinical genomics, or a related field from a recognized certifying body  
- Five or more years of experience in hospital-based or academic molecular pathology settings  
- Expertise in next-generation sequencing, biomarker development, and precision medicine applications  
- Strong analytical and communication skills for interpreting complex genomic data  
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is beneficial but not required
