Motor Vehicle Technician (General)

This position is based in Ireland.

A broad term often encompassing both light and commercial vehicle mechanics. Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs all types of motor vehicles. Performs scheduled maintenance, identifies and resolves mechanical/electrical issues, and ensures vehicles are roadworthy and safe.

Key Duties:

• Inspect, test, and service vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software.
• Advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness and safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in automotive technology.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE).
• Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Valid driver's license.
