Job Description - Music Teacher

Teaching a class using theprovided lesson plans (may also be asked to develop such plansbased on the provided pacing charts as relevant and needed) fortheir subject(s) in order to be able to teach using theSABIS® point system.
Marking examsrelated to the taught subject in accordance with the schedule andmaterial provided by the department.
Discussingdisciplinary and student performance issues with the AcademicQuality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) asneeded.
Implementing the SABIS® PointSystem to ensure an environment conducive to learning in theclassroom.
Proctoring exams as needed whileensuring an adequate and properly managed testenvironment.
Providing support for theacademically low-performing students through guidance andmotivation to help them improve and reach their fullpotential.
Developing and/or following up onexternal exams preparation by going through previous exams asplanned in the structured revision schedule (when applicable tospecific grade levels).
Aiding in duties thatmay include testing students, substituting for absent teachers,organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling traffic(vehicles and people), and other administrative duties as assignedby the school management.
Preparing andparticipating in activity plans related to student life events suchas but not limited to art, open houses, and physical education, incoordination with the Student Life Coordinator(SLC).
Attending training sessions when neededand as requested by the school management in order to enhance theunderstanding of the SABIS® system and improve the overallperformance of students.
Performing otherrelated tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by theschool management.
