We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatologist to join our dynamic team.
As a Neonatologist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care for newborn babies, including premature and critically ill infants. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for newborns, from initial assessment to ongoing treatment and follow-up care. Your expertise and compassion will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of these delicate patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide specialized medical care for newborns with a range of conditions, from prematurity to congenital abnormalities and other medical, surgical and behavioral disorders.
- Evaluate and manage the medical needs of neonates in the intensive care unit, including ventilator support, nutrition, and medication management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for neonates.
- Educate parents and families on their child's condition, treatment options and potential outcomes, and provide emotional support and guidance throughout their baby's hospitalization.
- Keep thorough and accurate medical records, including progress notes, orders, and discharge summaries.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and protocols in neonatal medicine and incorporate them into your practice for optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and successful completion of a Neonatology fellowship program.
- Current Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Neonatologist in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
