Network Engineer in Banking Domain

We have an urgent requirement for Network Engineer  in Banking Domain  for one of our banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE 
Design and implement Data Center, WAN, LAN, and Hybrid Cloud networks.--Must

Configure Cisco networking, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), load balancers (F5/Citrix), Azure ExpressRoute, VPNs, and network segmentation.--Must

Support Kubernetes/OpenShift, Kafka, and Zero Trust architecture.--Must

Manage secure connectivity with SWIFT, Visa, Mastercard, UAEFTS, IPP/Aani, UAE Switch, credit bureaus, and third-party partners.--Must

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, and CBUAE regulations.--Must

Role PurposeThe Network Engineer designs, implements and operates the secure, low-latency and highly available connectivity that the new core banking platform depends on. This includes data centre and cloudnetworking, connectivity to payment and card schemes, and segmentation for APIs, Kubernetes/OpenShift and event platforms.The engineer translates the target architecture into working, automated network configuration and supports the programme from environment build to cutover and steady-state operations.
Key Responsibilities:Design and Implementation
Design and implement data centre, WAN, LAN and hybrid-cloud connectivity, including Azure ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPN.Configure routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls and network segmentation for core banking, integration and channel workloads.Implement Zero Trust and micro-segmentation for APIs, Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters and Kafka.Design network connectivity for DR sites and support failover testing. External and Scheme Connectivity
Manage secure connectivity to SWIFT, Visa, Mastercard, UAE payment systems (such as UAEFTS, IPP/Aani and the UAE Switch), credit bureaus and third-party partners.Coordinate with network providers, schemes and partners for onboarding, certificate and IP changes, and testing.Ensure external connectivity meets PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP and CBUAE requirements.
Operations and Optimisation
Troubleshoot latency, packet loss and throughput issues across the transaction path.Monitor network performance and capacity, and plan upgrades ahead of demand.Support migration cutover, including network changes, rollback plans and validation.Maintain network documentation, diagrams and configuration standards.
Automation and Innovation
Automate network configuration and compliance checks using Ansible, Terraform and GitOps.Use AI-assisted network monitoring, anomaly detection and configuration analysis tools under controlled access.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related field.6-10+ years in network engineering, with at least 4 years in banking or financial services.Experience supporting a core banking implementation or a large data centre or cloudtransformation.Experience implementing scheme and payment network connectivity.
Technical Skills
Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls, and F5 or Citrix load balancers.BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, IPsec, DNS, NAT and SD-WAN.Azure networking, including VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall and private endpoints.Kubernetes/OpenShift networking, including CNI, ingress controllers and service mesh.Network automation with Python, Ansible and Terraform.Network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes or equivalent.
Preferred Certifications
Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCIE.Palo Alto PCNSE or Fortinet NSE 7.Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator.
