Job Description - Nursery Nurse

Offering medical care, such asdispensing medications, performing diagnostic tests, operatingmonitoring devices, assisting Physicians in surgeries and treatmentadministration, and consulting with the healthcare team to assess,implement, and evaluate patient careplans.
Providing infant care, such as holdingand rocking babies, preparing bottles and feeding babies, changingdiapers, and providing emotional support, physical comfort, andsocial interaction when the parents cannot bepresent.
Recording medical information andmaintaining accurate patientrecords.
Communicating with parents to updatethem on their child's care, educate them on home care, andanswer questions or direct them to medical staff who can answertheir questions.
Providing expert advice toPediatricians, comforting restless children, and communicating withfamilies.
Ensuring care center environmentsremain safe and child-friendly.
Designing plansfor child development and care, ensuring children are safe, happy,and stimulated, encouraging children's development throughplay, particularly during illnesses, and stimulating children withspecial and sensory needs.
Meeting with parentsto discuss their child's health anddevelopment.
Performing administrative duties,such as supervising staff, coordinating activity programs forchildren, setting up the nursery's daily routine, andattending meetings.
Supporting abused childrenand promoting public health andparenting.
