Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on the risks associated with their oil trading and marketing activities, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate their exposure to these risks
• Collaborate with the trading and marketing teams to optimize their trading activities and maximize profitability
• Monitor and analyze market trends and provide insights into the drivers of market volatility
• Work with the broader risk management team to ensure that their risk management strategies are aligned with the company’s overall risk appetite
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including counterparties, regulators, and industry peers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field
• 2-15 years of experience in oil market risk management or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of financial markets and risk management concepts
• Experience with risk management tools and systems, such as Bloomberg or Eikon, is a plus
