Roles and Responsibilities

You
approach your responsibilities with discipline, a clear understanding of what
the business requires, and a consistent attention to quality - working
collaboratively and focused, at all times, on delivering meaningful output.

• A Diploma or a related
  qualification is preferred.
  
• Extensive Knowledge of
  painting and polishing work.
  
• Proven track record in
  a Painting/Polishing role in hospitality.
  
• Sensational Teamwork
  and Collaboration skills to work effectively within a group and across
  departments with Fellow ‘FIVERs.’
  
• A Proactive Nature,
  coupled with a meticulous Eye for Detail, ensuring every aspect of the
  Operation is curated to perfection.
  
• A hands-on attitude,
  fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.
  
• Upholds the ‘FIVE-Star’ Aesthetic
  Appeal and pristine Cleanliness of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces.
  
• Prepares surfaces for Painting or
  Polishing by meticulously cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying primer as
  necessary.
  
• Applies paint, varnish, or other Exquisite
  Finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Ensures a Smooth and Even
  Coat, paying close attention to detail and adhering to FIVE’s brand standards.
  
• Polishes wood, metal, glass, and
  other surfaces to Restore a Bespoke Shine and Remove Imperfections.
  
• Utilises appropriate Tools and Techniques
  for each surface type.
  
• Mixes Paints and Stains to match
  existing colours or specified colour schemes. Maintains Accurate Records of
  paint colours and finishes used throughout the hotel.
  
• Repairs Minor Surface Damages
  such as cracks, holes, and scratches prior to painting or polishing.
  Coordinates with Team Maintenance for more extensive repairs when necessary.
  
• Adheres to all Safety Regulations
  and procedures while handling paints, solvents, and equipment. Ensures proper Ventilation
  and use of personal protective equipment to Minimise Health Risks.
  
• Maintains Painting and Polishing Equipment
  in top condition. Performs Routine Inspections, Cleaning, and minor Repairs as
  needed.
  
• Inspects Finished Surfaces to
  ensure they meet FIVE’s excellent Quality Standards and Specifications. Touches
  up areas as required to achieve a flawless appearance.
  
• Manages Time Effectively to meet
  deadlines and minimise disruption to hotel operations. Coordinates painting and
  polishing projects with other Departments as needed.
  
• Communicates Effectively with
  supervisors and other ‘FIVERs’ regarding project requirements, progress, and
  any issues encountered.
