Parts Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead sales while implementing the sales plans for parts and accessories. The aim is to achieve higher levels of sales, profits and wider customer sales while maintaining alignment with Al Tayer Motors business requirements. Sales are in charge of external sales which comprise of wholesales, exportations, and sales to other dealerships and to other shops overseas.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead Sales and manage the team towards achieving sales target

• Ensure that sales actions comply with Al Tayer Motors regulations and policies
• Provide budgetary inputs and agree on the annual sales plan, associated budget, and sales targets 
• Forecast profitability for sales of Parts and Accessories division, and monitor performance against it, while initiating corrective action where necessary in order to ensure business is developed within the agreed financial parameters 
• Review and monitor sales plan implementation and results achieved on a regular basis. Make changes to the strategy/approach to adapt to unexpected changes in the business environment 
• Manage sales process (aspects such as initial customer contact and reception, clarification of need, identification of prospect, follow-up on initial contact, final closure of sale and quality of sales documentation) in order to ensure quality in the entire process 
• Maintain effective commercial contacts with suppliers and key customers 
  Manage guidelines for working with customers to ensure highest level of service is provided and to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty 
  Visit and receive customers to stimulate interest in establishing or expanding sales for parts and accessories 
• Identify profitable new opportunities from leads provided by current customers 
  Establish and maintain a network of business contacts and relationships within the market to increase market awareness and obtain market/competitor intelligence and customer preference information. Stay up to date with products, market conditions, and competitive activities 
• Deal with critical problems and major customer complaints or issues, and ensure prompt action or decisions for timely resolution 
  Prepare periodical reports on business transactions, customer feedback, market conditions and competition, and submit it to the General Manager of Parts and Accessories
• Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives 
• Guide, motivate, and evaluate subordinates on their performance, productivity and progress, while identifying training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices 
• Ensure that team members acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training  programs including product/brand related training, while identifying the appropriate gaps and training costs/benefits to ensure budgetary parameters are met
• Ensure potential successors are identified, developed, and trained for succession planning

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical or business related discipline with a tertiary qualification  in sales
• Minimum of five to eight years of relevant experience 
• Knowledge and experience in the automotive sector, with a specific emphasis on parts and accessories sales in the GCC market
