Pathologist

Position Summary:

We are in search of a highly skilled Pathologist who will be responsible for examining and diagnosing patient tissue samples, body fluids, and other specimens to determine the presence or absence of disease. The ideal candidate will have extensive medical knowledge and experience in the field, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic examinations, including slides preparation, microscopic analysis, and interpretation of patient samples

- Conduct laboratory tests, studies, and research to identify the cause, nature, and progression of a disease

- Collaborate with other medical professionals and specialists to determine the appropriate course of treatment for patients

- Provide accurate and timely diagnoses and reports to physicians, clinicians, and other healthcare staff

- Maintain and update patient records and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines

- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures related to laboratory testing

- Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and precision

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution

- Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology

- Valid state medical license to practice as a Pathologist

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Pathology department or laboratory

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
