Phlebotomist with DHA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Phlebotomist with DHA (Dubai Health Authority) certification to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for various tests and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

This is an essential position that requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients while providing a comfortable experience during blood draws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary draws to collect blood samples from patients as per physician orders.
• Ensure patient identification and obtain consent prior to blood collection.
• Properly label, handle, and transport samples according to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the phlebotomy area, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Accurately record patient information and blood collection details in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ease their concerns and provide post-procedural care instructions.
• Assist in inventory management and proper maintenance of phlebotomy supplies.

Qualifications:

• Valid DHA certification as a Phlebotomist or relevant certification from an accredited institution.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in phlebotomy preferred.
• Proven experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with patients compassionately.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to following protocols and ensuring quality care.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
