Planning Engineer_ Oil & Gas

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas industry to join our  client's team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of successful project planning and execution in the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring they are aligned with project objectives and deadlines

- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays, and develop mitigation strategies

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurate and achievable

- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues that may impact project timelines

- Prepare progress reports and present them to project stakeholders

- Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and make necessary adjustments to project plans

- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in project planning and execution

- Conduct cost analysis and budgeting to ensure project stays within budget constraints

- Mentor and train junior planning engineers as needed.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on fabrication, modular building, and EPC projects

- Proven track record of successful project planning and execution

- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Proficiency in project management software and tools

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
