JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Obtain all specific project information neededto design the job such as hard line drawings, fire flow testinformation, specifications, electronic drawings, related addenduminformation and project schedule information
• Review project specifications and assist with projectcost estimates, quotes, and bids
• Workingknowledge with NFPA codes and hydraulic calculations
• Survey and/or design various projects
• Project manage your design projects by coordinatingpermits, submittals, attend job meetings and troubleshoot problemsthat the field employees may have with the design and installationof project
• Work effectively with minimalsupervision and have a sense of urgency to meetdeadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems Layout(formerly Automatic Sprinkler System Layout)
• Minimum of 5 years of direct design experience
• Proficient computer knowledge and use of Hydrocad/Autocadand hydraulic calculations
• Estimating/pre-bidexperience
• Working knowledge of wet, dry,pre-action, deluge and fire pumps
• Strongcustomer service skills
• Attention to detail isa must
• Self-motivated and dependable with astrong desire to succeed
• Mentor/coach lessexperienced designers, if applicable
• Excellentwritten and oral communication skills
• Mustpossess a valid driver’s license and a clean drivingrecord
• Ability to work flexible schedule tocomplete deadlines
• Must be willing to relocateto Western NC
• Must submit to and pass a drugscreening
