Job Description

Department Unit: IB & Markets Technology
Reports to: Head of Global Markets Technology

TASKS:

• Strategic Leadership:
  a. Define and execute the global eTrading strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  b. Drive innovation in electronic trading platforms, ensuring best-in-class execution and client experience.
• Platform Development & Oversight:
  a. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance, low-latency trading systems.
  b. Ensure platform resilience, scalability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Management:
  a. Partner with trading desks, sales, technology and vendor teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  b. Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders on eTrading initiatives.
• Operational Excellence:
  a. Monitor and optimize electronic trading flows across multi-dealer platforms, APIs, and single-dealer platforms.
  b. Implement robust risk controls and ensure adherence to governance frameworks.
• Team Leadership:
  a. Lead and mentor a team of developers, product managers, and support specialists.
  b. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  
  JOB KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years in electronic trading, with deep knowledge of Global Markets (FX is a must).
  • Proven track record in leading and implementing large-scale eTrading platform initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of connectivity protocols, API and low-latency trading systems.
  • Familiarity with algorithmic trading strategies and pricing engines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills accompanied with excellent communication
  
  QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • The candidate should possess either a postgraduate degree or qualification in Information Systems / Engineering / Business Administration.
  • The candidate should carry a minimum relevant work experience in a Bank or I.T. Company.
  • Strong record of stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets, trading and banking solutions
  • Candidate must be technically astute and have had relevant exposure and experience with bank systems and processes
  • Strong numerical skills coupled with the ability to deliver well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Candidate must display strong verbal and written communication skills.
