Job Description - Procurement Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the company's procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies in line with the company's goals and objectives. 2. Source, negotiate and purchase goods and services from approved suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. 3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services. 4. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions. 5. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide them with the necessary support. 6. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock shortages. 7. Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulations. 8. Review and analyze purchase orders, contracts, and invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to budget. 9. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and take necessary actions to address any issues or concerns. 10. Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the UAE. 3. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software. 6. Knowledge of UAE procurement laws and regulations. 7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 8. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 9. Proven track record of cost savings and process improvements. 10. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
