Purchase Logistics Officer

DIRECT HIRE LOCATION: ATHENS, GA

Materials Manager

Responsible to gather day to day Work-in-Process (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) for

1. Monitor and maintain accurate totals for WIP
2. Communicate with management team to ensure on-time delivery in accordance with forecasted delivery schedule
3. Communicate all major supplier schedule changes or customer problems/concerns to Plant
4. Monitor parts that require outside processing and schedule with shipping department based on required due
5. Effectively manage the receipt of incoming material for prompt inventory recognition/control and storage in predetermined
6. Continuously review the supply chain network in order to identify opportunities to reduce on hand inventory, decrease logistics costs, increase number of inventory turns, and improve the overall supply chain
7. Continuous review of inventory costs to ensure optimum manufacturing lead times and raw material
8. Responsible for purchasing material component parts, and
9. Coordinate returnable packaging requirements
10. Schedule, conduct, and reconcile cycle counts as required and monthly/annual physical Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelors Degree Preferred

3+ years of Materials Management Supply Chain and practice of Lean Principles, 5S MRP/ERP
